Hey there! I'm Muaz Niwas, a software engineer based in Sri Lanka. I bring more than 4 years of experience in software development to the table, with a strong foundation built through my educational journey and professional endeavors. Graduating from the University of Jaffna with a degree in Computer Science, I've since immersed myself in various roles that have honed my skills and expertise.

Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working with many organizations where I was a Software Engineer, developing web applications. This experience has equipped me with a deep understanding of software development, allowing me to thrive in dynamic and fast-paced environments.

My Experience:

I started out as an intern in Digiratina working on some interesting projects related to image processing and mobile app development. I played a key role in developing a proof of concept algorithm in a project based on identifying and processing vehicle license plate numbers.

After completing my internship, I joined hSenid Mobile Solutions as a fresh graduate. I was part of the development team of a CPaaS product which provides Telco APIs for network service providers. This platform is used by the largest telecommunication providers in Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. I was also given some challenging assignments where I had to work on some legacy modules which were used by major banks in Sri Lanka.

Then I joined the amazing and growing team of Procys where I found the right people with the same enthusiasm as me. I was excited to join almost two years ago and it has been the same level of excitement for me to date with this wonderful team.

My expertise lies in web development, both frontend and backend. React is my go to framework for frontend development, but I am not hopeless on Angular either. When it comes to backends, Java Spring was my first love. In both my previous companies they used Spring as the backend framework. Then when I joined Procys, I found myself in awe of GoLang. I have got my hands dirty with hybrid mobile development as well during my internship period and as well as some side projects during my university glory days.

Apart from my “interesting” coding skills, I love watching football. I follow European football a lot and specially a fan of the Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund. And I love watching movies, tv shows too. I have traveled to many places within my country. I like to explore new places and new cultures and new food.
